Elle Godard Trent was born to an interracial couple back when a time when people didn't believe that races should mix. She was born on a military base and her father, Italian, from Naples, born in Flatbush, Brooklyn - Her mother Puerto Rican, from Abonito, Puerto Rico, born in the Bronx. Racism was one of the first things Elly learned about. It was very rough on her; however it provided a thick skin from little on. From there Elle moved to Queens, NYC. She comes from a family of 5 and to say that things were tight would be putting it mildly. Elle grew up listening to visceral screams from the victims coming off the train which was only half a block down from where she grew up. Fellow New Yorkers know it as the "El". People being mugged, beaten, gangs everywhere.....All this while being unable to attend the famed Pratt Institute of Art in NYC. After being totally accepted by means of scholarship in the 6th & again in the 8th grade. Elle was unable able to attend due to her family being unable to afford transportation , not to mention it would've been very dangerous for her to travel through Brooklyn alone, all by train at such a young age.

From there Elle's parents were finally able to move out to the deserted suburbs of Eastern Long Island. They purchased their first home after years of hard work and saving every penny. Her dad worked 3 jobs and was hardly ever home. Mom didn't work, her job was to raise us 3 kids and keep the home life going. Now Elle was exposed to utter calm and quiet. Solitude -The vast change in surroundings further added to the depth that is Elle Godard Trent.

At this point Elle experienced something totally different. In the "CITY" the girls were very diverse. White, black, Latino & Asian amongst several other beautiful races and creeds. Out on Long Island, most folks were Caucasian. So Elle's exotic beauty stood out. She even when on to land 1st runner up for Miss New York. Proving that being "BORICUA" is beautiful regardless of era or period. Elle is very proud of her diverse heritage.

Elle took her life from New York all the way to the West Coast and landed in Southern California. From there she went on to prosper and began getting, more involved with hair. It was her first real attempt on her solo journey and she just stuck hard with it. She gave and put her heart and soul into it and prospered at it. Elle quickly became an utter icon in the beauty industry; she toured heavily as a platform artist with Michael O'Rourke, one of her great Mentors.  Michael O'Rourke now owns "Sexy Hair" line, which back in the day was "Ecoly".  She went as far as to style for all the "Greats". She worked with the music industry for years where she styled and traveled to many Rock venues.

Elle began and got her chance when widely known tour manager, Bobby Herr, (her client) who worked with the great "Seal" and “The Goo Goo Dolls" asked if she would be interested in styling hair for her first venue, which was the K-Roc "Weenie Roast for Charity", she styled mostly all of the bands hair. Bobby only trusted her to touch his hair, and felt her talents far exceeded the norm. She went without, saved every penny which was instilled in her at such a young age and at a risk, she opened, owned & operated a very prestigious salon by the name of Syrens, located in California, which continues to prosper to this very day. With the money she saved she didn't take any loans and it was debt free at opening.

Elle's career in beauty was utterly amazing. Her creativity and image was so phenomenal that Elle began to style for a lot of celebrities & very influential people in Hollywood and beyond. She was "THE" person to go to before the Oscars or the Grammy's. Elle took a huge interest in tattooing; she picked up a machine one day and went at it!!! All self taught and with pointers from some of her great Tattooing Mentors, developed her own Style... Elle wants to bring Art into the tattoo world, and have them look like works of Art, like putting a paintbrush to a Canvas...Not your typical coloring book style that she so often sees. She's competitive, Honest, Loyal and most of all very Artistic and a great listener, to achieve her clients goal. She's a target sometimes for criticism, but that just makes her stronger. People don't like what they don't know. Elle is striving to bring Tattooing, as an Art Form to the fore front. Lots of people believe she's on her way. She is relentless, on making every piece she tattoos, Perfect!!!!

Most people, who know Elle Godard Trent personally, know all the heart and soul in just a few moments of meeting and speaking with her... Most say she is a fallen angel, soon to rise above her life's tragic past marriage, before her new and God gifted husband Ronnie Trent....  like the great Phoenix, rising from the ashes to fly again....

Elly Godard Trent is very spiritual.... Humbled by the loss of her step-daughter and mother... She dedicates her artistic ability to the Lord.... this is only the beginning.... because most people that know Elle Godard, have this to say;
